Loehmann’s Plaza Gives Cash to Local Schools

Sacramento, CA. – – Loehmann’s Plaza is proud to announce its community outreach program, Shopping to Educate. The program awards local Sacramento schools with scholarships ranging from $250 – $2,000!

Shopping to Educate works by awarding participating schools five points for every dollar spent at Loehmann’s Plaza from August 1st, 2016 through May 21st, 2017. Parents, friends and students simply credit their receipts to participating schools by dropping them off at selected stores at Loehmann’s Plaza. Additional points can be earned through means that do not require any spending, such as attending special events at the shopping center, school spirit, and monthly bonus point options. These alternatives help to make the program beneficial for schools of all sizes. Loehmann’s Plaza awards cash prizes at the end of the program based on total points earned throughout the school year. Receipts can be dropped at Cookie Connection and Pinkberry in Loehmann’s Plaza.

Up to twelve (12) local schools are eligible to participate in the program. The schools for the 2016-2017 program include: Caleb Greenwood Elementary, Carden School of Sacramento, Howe Avenue Elementary, Merryhill Midtown Elementary, Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep, Sacramento Country Day School, Shalom School, Star Academy- Natomas Charter, Westlake Charter School, and William Land Elementary

Shopping to Educate is a fun and easy way for schools to earn much needed funding, and Loehmann’s Plaza is excited to be able to offer the program to its community. If your school would like to sign up, there is one spot left in the 2016-2017 program.
